Junior Accountant

Job Description:

The Accountant oversees the financial operations of the assigned region(s), ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. The role involves managing accounts receivables, payables, payroll, general ledger maintenance, tax filings, and regulatory audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Close Processes: Prepare and review financial reports
• Reconciliation & Posting: Complete journal entries, account reconciliations
• Balance Sheet & P&L Analysis: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and perform detailed P&L analysis.
• Treasury Management: Manage payment status.
• Audit & Compliance: Work with CPA firms for annual audits, and prepare financial statements for audit purposes
• Fixed Assets Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, leasing, and insurance schedules.
• Taxation & Legal Compliance: Ensure timely completion of tax
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly financial
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams

Qualifications:

• • Candidates with BCom, MCom, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance are highly preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
  • Knowledge of local and US accounting standards.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
• Experience working with multinational corporations (MNCs) and managing compliance with local and international accounting standards
• Hands-on experience with general ledger maintenance, audit support, and tax compliance
