What the Candidate Will Do

  • Support US and Canada payroll filings, payroll reporting and payroll reconciliations. Form 941’s 940, W3, state filings, T4’s etc.
  • Maintain state/local registrations and communications including agency notices.
  • Manage inventory of receivables/payables to/from tax agencies
  • Establish relationships with payroll provider ADP and manage deliverables and requests.
  • Support payroll audits.
  • Follow, optimize payroll procedures and internal controls.
  • Participate in projects related to special payroll initiatives globally. Support various global payroll initiatives including but not limited to paycode set ups, reviews, tax notices, employee queries and people operational issues impacting employees paychecks.
  • Act as liaison with cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Working with internal departments such as Compensation, Benefits, Accounting, People Ops, Mobility, Tax, Equity and Enterprise Systems.
  • Provide support and reconcile monthly and quarterly tax filings.

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll tax operations/compliance and reconciliations specifically with US/Canada payroll.
  • Experience and proficiency in Workday Payroll is required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills with attention to detail and completeness. Ability to skim through large volumes of data and understand patterns and create summaries.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Business process improvement skills with a mindset for automation
  • Hands-on, strong work ethic and can-do attitude. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate key information and status to stakeholders
  • Experience with multi-state/province payrolls
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment
