About the role

As an Account Manager – Inside Sales, you will be responsible for driving gross profit growth across software, services and Hardware, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes. This role combines proactive prospecting, solution‑led engagement, pipeline development and effective account management to support Insight’s growth objectives. Along the way, you will get to:

Sales Performance & Pipeline Management

  • Achieve quarterly gross profit and sales targets across software and services.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date opportunity pipelines in Salesforce with full quarter visibility.

Client Engagement & Account Management

  • Conduct regular outbound activity supported by timely follow‑ups.
  • Apply a solution‑led approach to understand client needs and deliver effective outcomes.
  • Manage licensing, renewals and Software Asset Management guidance, achieving high renewal rates.
  • Build relationships within existing accounts to uncover new and incremental opportunities.

Prospecting & New Business Development

  • Generate new pipeline through outbound calling, social selling and email sequences.
  • Acquire a minimum number of new clients each quarter from the agreed prospect list.
  • Promote Insight’s full range of solutions to drive growth in the SMB segment.

Collaboration & Meetings

  • Book high‑quality meetings for Account Managers, Solution Specialists and Partners with clear agendas and outcomes.
  • Engage with key vendor partners such as Microsoft to leverage leads and market insights.

Training, Compliance & Operational Excellence

  • Maintain vendor certification requirements.
  • Complete product and sales training as directed.
  • Monitor competitor activity and stay informed on market trends.
  • Perform additional duties as required by management
