Accounts Executive

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accounts Executive role based in Nilambur. The Senior Accounts Executive will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, monitoring outstanding payments, coordinating with customers and vendors, and ensuring timely collections and disbursements. The person in this role will assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including financial statements, reporting, and variance analysis. They will ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and tax regulations, while supporting audits and providing financial data and reports to management. The role also includes collaborating with operations and logistics teams to validate billing, freight charges, and cost allocation, and recommending process improvements for better financial control and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and MS Excel (formulas, pivots, data analysis).
• Knowledge of taxation, regulatory compliance, and audit processes relevant to corporate accounts.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to analyze financial data and trends.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills for coordination with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Proven experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably in shipping, logistics, or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA/CPA/CMA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Nilambur, manage priorities in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high ethical and confidentiality standards.
