Position Overview

JGM Contracting is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and site-level financial records. The role involves handling accounts in Tally ERP, maintaining financial documentation, tracking payments, and supporting labour and material record management.

The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of GST and construction accounting practices, along with strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete accounts using Tally ERP.

  • Record purchase bills, supplier invoices, and vouchers accurately.

  • Track payment receipts and customer collections.

  • Reconcile bank statements regularly.

  • Manage petty cash transactions and records.

  • Maintain site attendance register.

  • Prepare and update labour payment register.

  • Maintain material inward and outward records.

  • Assist in wage processing and labour payment documentation.

  • Ensure proper record-keeping and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Tally ERP.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Basic understanding of GST regulations.

  • Knowledge of construction accounting practices.

  • Good organizational and communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping ability.

Experience

  • Experience handling Tally ERP and GST-related entries preferred.
