As an Accountant in Finance and Controllership, you will be responsible for maintaining financial integrity, managing statutory compliance, and driving process improvements for Google entities in India. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, finance, or business
Preferred Qualifications

5 years of experience in financial reporting or operational accounting

Familiarity with SQL and advanced spreadsheet functions

Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., SAP)

Solid understanding of India GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS
-
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage ambiguity in a dynamic environment

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills in a business partnering capacity
Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Indian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements

Lead audit and tax processes for Indian entities, working closely with external and internal stakeholders

Analyze financial data to maintain accuracy and integrity of local books and records

Serve as a finance representative with internal business units and external advisors

Drive continuous improvement through automation, system enhancements, and operational optimization

Maintain and enforce a strong internal control framework in line with global standards
