Accountant

Position Overview:

ZoomRx is seeking an Accountant to play an essential role on the Company’s finance team.  Reporting to the accounting manager, the accountant will assist with various aspects of the financial close and prepare and distribute the financial reporting package for both the Indian and U.S. entities.  The accountant will contribute to multiple areas of accounting and will have excellent opportunities for continued learning and career advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Accounting manager in India to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly financial close.
• Record all financial transactions in the Company’s general ledger accounting system, including vendor payables processing.
• Compile the Company’s monthly financial statements by US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS).
• Prepare account reconciliations and reconcile the monthly bank activity
• Calculate and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in support of the Company’s Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Help prepare the monthly budget for the actual financial reporting package, analyze the drivers of budget variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Lead ad hoc analytical projects from inception to conclusion with minimal supervision that will inform the company’s strategic plan and drive decision-making.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization and lead projects to achieve operating efficiencies and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 0-2 years of related experience
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required
• Strong math, financial, and analytical skills, including the ability to lead efforts to automate and build scalable financial processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience is required. Advanced experience is a plus.
