Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Kochi. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role involves preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. The Accountant will help ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and UAE-related reporting requirements as needed. The role may also include supporting tax filings, coordinating with auditors, and preparing management reports that support decision-making for clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong technical accounting skills, including experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to work with financial data accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of taxation concepts and regulatory compliance; experience supporting tax filings and audits is an advantage.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and process integrity.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Kochi, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a professional services environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (completed or in progress) are preferred.
- Prior experience in public accounting, professional services, or working with multiple clients is beneficial.
