Associate Payroll Specialist

Position Overview

Electronic Arts (EA), a global leader in digital entertainment, is hiring an Associate Payroll Specialist to join its Finance team in Hyderabad. This role involves supporting payroll accounting, reconciliation, and reporting functions for EA’s North American operations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct payroll audits and validate source documents for uploads and manual entries.

• Upload payroll transactions into Oracle each pay period to record expenses and accruals accurately.

• Generate and distribute key payroll reports, including PTO, Check Register, Stock Report, and other ad-hoc reports.

• Audit and reconcile PTO and stock reports to ensure accuracy.

• Prepare and post journal entries for payroll invoices, tax adjustments, refunds, and miscellaneous payroll-related transactions.

• Reconcile payroll accounts such as accrued wages, payroll taxes, and garnishments, resolving discrepancies in collaboration with business partners.

• Address General Ledger (GL) queries and provide supporting documentation when required.

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal accounting standards.

• Utilize Cadency for reconciliation and reporting processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B.Com or MBA in Finance/Accounting.

• Experience: 0–2 years in payroll or accounting functions.

• Strong understanding of accounting and financial principles.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems preferred.

• Working knowledge of Oracle R12 and UKG Pro is an added advantage.
