Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to manage and review Balance Sheet controls, reporting, and analysis across AXP and business segments. This role requires strong accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while maintaining financial integrity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and report AXP and Segment Balance Sheet data.

Maintain enterprise-wide Balance Sheet health and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.

Collaborate with Account Owners, Regulators, and Entity/Segment Controllers.

Lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and compliance with management policies.

Strengthen internal control environments to ensure satisfactory audit outcomes.

Ensure adherence to SOX, Process Risk Self-Assessment, and support Internal/Statutory audits.

Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for redesign or automation.

Lead, mentor, and coach a team of accounting professionals in strategic and operational execution.
Required Qualifications

CA or Graduate with 4–6 years of relevant financial or accounting experience.

Strong analytical skills and ability to understand process dependencies.

Demonstrated accounting expertise with innovative problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Assertive, influential, and able to drive collaboration without direct authority.

Self-starter capable of working effectively in ambiguous or dynamic environments.

Proven experience interacting with senior leadership, finance teams, business partners, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong leadership and people management abilities, including experience managing diverse and cross-cultural teams.
