Position Overview

As a PAMA FP&A CoE Global BL INS Analyst, you will support global financial reporting, business partnering, and performance insights within ABB’s interconnected Finance ecosystem. This role plays a key part in enabling strategic decision-making, improving financial transparency, and fostering operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the global FP&A function within the Business Line (INS) and assist financial business partnering activities.

  • Perform business performance analysis against plans, forecasts, and prior periods.

  • Handle month-end closing activities and prepare MIS reports for relevant functions or geographies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Divisions, BLs, hubs, and global finance teams to analyze financial performance drivers.

  • Perform cost-benefit analysis, monitor inventory, working capital, and overhead absorption variances.

  • Build and improve reporting dashboards, financial tools, and analytical frameworks to enhance transparency and insights.

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports based on stakeholder requirements.

  • Support financial audits, business reviews, and periodic planning/forecasting cycles.

  • Validate and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.

  • Improve productivity through automation, process optimization, and report standardization across markets.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant discipline. (CA/CMA/MBA Finance preferred)

  • 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or a similar finance role.

  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English required.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP FICO, C-Fin, Business Warehouse, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Master Data systems.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and countries.
