A Senior Accountant typically has a more advanced level of responsibility within the accounting department. They handle complex accounting functions, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and often take on leadership or mentoring roles within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial activities, including accounting, bookkeeping, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management within the gaming sector, focusing on game development, monetization models, and esports operations.
- Track the financial performance of gaming investments, identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation, such as development costs, in-game economies, and virtual assets like NFTs.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, particularly related to blockchain gaming, virtual assets, and evolving legislation on gaming economics and digital transactions.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow for gaming projects, with detailed commentary on game launches, revenue models, and in-game asset transactions.
- Foster a collaborative environment across game development, marketing, and operations teams, assist with financial modeling for gaming projects, and stay updated on emerging trends, including blockchain and NFTs in gaming.

Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounting software, MS Office Suite, and financial modeling tools, with a focus on financial analysis for gaming companies.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CMA, CPA) are preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an accountant for a holding group, particularly with subsidiaries in the gaming industry across multiple jurisdictions.
