Position Overview

The Senior Manager – Accounts Receivable & Revenue Accounting will lead the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) function for EA’s Global Finance Center (GFC) in Hyderabad. This role is responsible for overseeing global revenue accounting and accounts receivable operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple business lines and regions.

This position combines strong operational ownership with strategic influence and works closely with global revenue, shared services, controllership, and business teams to deliver insights into revenue performance and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Accounting & Reporting
  • Lead month-end close activities for revenue handled by the Hyderabad team, including reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

  • Manage revenue accounting for complex digital revenue portfolios.

  • Oversee billing operations across multiple revenue streams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contract terms.

  • Book revenue accruals and close-related journal entries (cash, fees, ICO, tax reserves, refunds).

  • Prepare cash and ERP reconciliations for Online Revenue Integration (ORI) portfolios.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and accrual vs. actual variance analysis.

  • Support ERP upgrade testing and reporting of results.

  • Coordinate with IT teams to raise, track, and resolve system and billing issues.

  • Identify and implement process efficiencies and control improvements.

Accounts Receivable Management
  • Oversee customer master data and ensure effective onboarding processes.

  • Monitor cash application and reconciliation activities to maintain system integrity.

  • Drive collections strategies to optimize cash flow and reduce bad debt risk.

  • Supervise AR uploads, credit notes, disputes, and resolution within agreed timelines.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly AR reports, including trial balance and transaction analysis.

  • Ensure strong credit control practices and compliance with month-end cut-offs and controls.

Process Excellence & Automation
  • Drive continuous improvement across the Order-to-Cash process through automation, analytics, and standardization.

  • Collaborate with Finance Transformation and Technology teams on ERP and process enhancements.

  • Define, track, and improve key KPIs such as DSO, unapplied cash, billing accuracy, and close cycle time.

People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 20 professionals across revenue accounting and AR operations.

  • Build a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team culture.

  • Develop future leaders within the function.

Stakeholder Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for global stakeholders, including Revenue Accounting, Shared Services, and Controllership teams.

  • Partner with IT, Legal, and Sales Operations to resolve contract and system-related matters.

  • Support internal and external audits and ensure strong documentation and control compliance.

  • Own and report team KPIs; participate in weekly and monthly business reviews.

Qualifications

  • CA, CPA, or MBA (Finance) preferred.

  • 15+ years of experience in accounting, revenue operations, or shared service environments.

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in revenue accounting or AR functions.

  • Strong understanding of ASC 606, Order-to-Cash processes, and ERP systems (SAP or Oracle).

  • Experience leading global revenue or AR operations, preferably in a GCC setup.
