Positional Overview:
The Tax Consultant role is a key position within the tax department, responsible for managing corporate tax compliance and providing strategic support in a multi-national corporate environment. This role focuses on ensuring accurate tax filings, utilizing advanced tax technologies, and supporting tax process improvements while maintaining compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations. The individual will also be instrumental in researching and analyzing complex tax issues and ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee U.S. tax compliance processes, including the preparation and review of relevant forms and filings.
- Ensure compliance with international tax regulations and corporate tax requirements in a multi-national context.
- Leverage tools like OneSource Income Tax and SAP ERP for accurate tax compliance and reporting.
- Utilize MS Excel for advanced tax calculations, data analysis, and reconciliations.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Assist with preparing detailed tax reports, reconciliations, and documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements.
- Work closely with finance, legal, and other teams to ensure alignment in corporate tax matters.
- Provide support during audits and assist in resolving tax-related queries and issues.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax compliance processes, relevant forms, and international tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience with OneSource Income Tax, SAP ERP, and MS Excel (including advanced formulas and macros).
- Exceptional ability to analyze complex tax issues, research regulatory changes, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Proficient in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements using technology.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a multi-national corporate tax department.
- Working knowledge of U.S. tax compliance processes and forms.
- Expertise in using tax compliance tools like OneSource Income Tax.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP and advanced MS Excel functionalities.
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of integrity and trustworthiness.
