Position Overview:
Senior Accountant ensures accurate financial reporting, which contributes to operational efficiency while enabling management to make informed decisions that align with the goals and mission of the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for one or more key accounting functions, including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R) and general ledger (G/L) activities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and General Ledger (G/L) functions across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Perform client reconciliations, ensure monthly billing files align with systems like Convertr and Netsuite, and reconcile deferred revenue schedules to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and audit financial reports, including CM Reports, fixed assets depreciation schedules, and loan/interest receivables. Analyze variances and collaborate with Customer Success (CS) to investigate discrepancies.
- Mentor junior accounting staff, provide guidance, and identify process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline preferred
- 3-4 years General Accounting
- 3-4 years Relevant account experience with a focus on A/P, A/R and G/L functions
- Bookkeeping experience
