Accountant

Positional Overview:

As our new Accountant, apart from having the local esteemed finance team, you will also have the opportunity to build a strong network and collaborate globally. You will report directly to the Finance Director, who is responsible for seamless financial operations across geographical locations in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries to the book of accounts
• Performing processes and posting of all invoices, expense forms, and requests.
• Handling stock accounts and related tasks, priority for closing on a daily basis
• Preparing reconciliation of G/L accounts
• Maintaining balance sheet accounts
• Handling financial transactions and data
• Maintaining the accounting controls by following policies and procedures

Skills:

• Fluent in both written and verbal English
• Structured and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical mindset
• Pragmatic with a practical approach
• Strong communicator at all organizational levels

Qualifications:

• Relevant financial education or similar
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in the oil and shipping industry is an advantage
• Experience with NAV is an advantage
• An experienced user of Microsoft Office.
