Accountant

Position Overview:

The Accountant role is an integral part of the finance division, responsible for maintaining accurate accounting systems and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position supports key financial operations, such as general ledger management, accounts reconciliation, and financial reporting. The Finance Associate will play a crucial role in supporting management decision-making through the preparation of accurate financial data and reports.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform periodic reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions.
• Review and analyze inter-company transactions for accuracy.
• Develop and prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
• Provide accurate financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit requirements.
• Adhere to GAAP and organizational standards in all accounting activities.
• Collaborate on special finance-related projects as assigned, contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives

Skills:

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, journal entries, and financial reconciliation.
• High level of accuracy in maintaining accounting records and preparing reports.
• Understanding of GAAP and audit requirements for financial processes and journal entries.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, management, and external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0 to 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related finance role.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and software tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• No security clearance is required.
• Visa/work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
