Position Overview

As an Associate Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting accounting, tax compliance, and financial operations for our clients. You will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, accounts receivable/payable processing, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting and Tax
  • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analyses.

  • Prepare workbooks and financial statements for month-end/period-end closing.

  • Record business-related transactions and maintain the general ledger using accounting software.

  • Assist with compliance reporting for federal, state, and government agencies.

  • Ensure accurate accrual of expenses and recognition of income/expense items.

  • Reconcile intercompany transactions with affiliates.

Accounts Receivable
  • Process customer invoices accurately and timely.

  • Post and apply cash receipts against open invoices.

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and cash application issues.

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for escalated queries/disputes.

Accounts Payable
  • Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports.

  • Verify expense reports against receipts for accuracy.

  • Resolve invoice/expense report issues in a timely manner.

  • Initiate and review payment runs.

  • Generate reports and monitor purchasing accruals.

Other Functions
  • Document and maintain process workflows for clients.

  • Execute ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned.

  • Respond professionally to internal/external client inquiries and resolve issues.

  • Archive client documents and workbooks properly.

  • Support non-operational tasks as needed, under the direction of Managing Directors.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related fields.

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Flexible to adjust work hours to meet business requirements.
