Job Responsbilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team in India and support the accounting and finance operations of our Dubai office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting UAE compliance requirements. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with clients and team members remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bookkeeping and accounting functions for a portfolio of UAE-based clients, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, ledgers, and supporting schedules to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and other accounting deliverables.
  • Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations while identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare invoices, process payments, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding balances when required.
  • Coordinate directly with clients to obtain accounting records, supporting documents, and information necessary for bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of UAE VAT returns, Corporate Tax requirements, and other statutory filings while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Support audit engagements by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation requested by auditors and management.
  • Review financial data for accuracy, identify potential issues, and proactively communicate findings and recommendations to the team.
  • Maintain organized accounting records and ensure all client files and documentation are updated and properly stored.
  • Collaborate with the Dubai office to meet reporting deadlines, manage client expectations, and ensure the timely completion of assignments.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards, UAE tax regulations, and industry best practices to support the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Perform any other accounting, finance, or administrative duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote team environment.
  • Knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and accounting practices is preferred.
