Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Ernakulam. The Chartered Accountant will manage statutory, tax, and internal audits, including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations, and managing direct and indirect tax filings. The role involves advising clients on tax planning, financial controls, and business structuring, as well as handling queries and assessments from tax and regulatory authorities. The Chartered Accountant will also support process improvements, mentor junior team members, and coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent), with strong knowledge of accounting standards, auditing standards, and relevant tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, preparation and review of financial statements, and analysis of financial data for accuracy and compliance.
- Experience in statutory audit, internal audit, and tax audit, including planning, execution, documentation, and preparation of audit reports.
- Working knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, including return filing, tax computation, and handling basic assessments or notices.
- Comfort with accounting and audit software, spreadsheets, and other office productivity tools; familiarity with popular ERP or accounting platforms is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain financial and tax concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while taking ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Prior experience in a CA firm or professional services environment is preferred but not mandatory for highly capable candidates.
