Position Overview

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full Accounts Receivable (AR) cycle within the Onecape HUB. This includes debt collection, dispute resolution, statement reconciliation, and reporting for customers under the Onecape product line. The role focuses on achieving collection targets, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring all activities align with Inchcape’s financial and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer collections in line with agreed credit terms, ensuring low overdue ratios.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to facilitate timely payments.

  • Perform Statement of Account (SOA) reconciliation and ensure accuracy.

  • Handle dispute resolution and process customer refunds where applicable.

  • Adhere to the Global Bank Account Verification Policy (LOBD).

  • Prepare and maintain reports, including customer SOAs and AR summaries.

  • Post transactions accurately within the internal accounting system (Unit 4).

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients regarding collections and escalations.

  • Escalate overdue recoverables and participate in regular review meetings with line managers.

Education & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Administration (BBA).

Desirable:

  • MBA in Financial Management or equivalent post-graduate qualification.
