Position Overview

The Analyst – Purchase to Pay (P2P) plays a vital role in supporting Philips’ finance and procurement functions by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all purchase-to-pay activities. This position is responsible for verifying invoices, maintaining purchase records, documenting transactions, resolving discrepancies, and adhering to internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.

As part of a global health technology leader, the Analyst – P2P will contribute to operational excellence by enabling smooth and transparent financial processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and standards.

  • Execute assigned P2P tasks accurately and efficiently, meeting all quality and timeline requirements.

  • Adhere to internal control systems to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.

  • Document purchase transactions and maintain accurate financial records.

  • Verify invoices against purchase orders and receipts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.

  • Enter and manage purchase data in accounting and procurement systems for accurate tracking and reporting.

  • Assist in resolving routine purchase, delivery, or payment issues while maintaining positive vendor relationships.

  • Continuously update knowledge of best practices and industry trends through professional development.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable, or Finance operations.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing processes

    • Proficiency in data entry, document management, and financial systems

    • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and cash flow management

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Work Arrangement

At Philips, we believe collaboration drives success:

  • Office-based roles: Minimum 3 days per week onsite.

  • Onsite roles: Full-time presence required at company facilities.

  • Field roles: Primarily conducted at customer or supplier locations.

This position is classified as an onsite role, based at the Philips Chennai office.
