Position Overview
UST is seeking a meticulous and analytical Associate II – Data Management to join our global Data Management team. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in data governance, financial data operations, or reference data management who are looking to deepen their expertise in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As an Associate II, you will play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of operational data across key datasets—including Client & Portfolio (C&P), Securities and Reference Data, Index/Benchmark, and Pricing. You will ensure data integrity, manage master data, perform exception handling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support investment operations and client reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities

Perform setup and maintenance of security, index, and price data on the global Data Management platform

Conduct data validation and quality checks on security master, index, and pricing data

Monitor and reconcile daily data feeds from multiple internal and external sources

Review exception and missing price reports; research and update prices for illiquid securities

Manually input and verify prices from market data vendors such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and ICE

Recalculate Private Equity (PE) prices following corporate events, drawdowns, or revaluations

Manage shared mailboxes and respond to data-related queries promptly and accurately

Support the Line Manager in data projects, process enhancements, and testing of system releases or change requests

Oversee automated data delivery processes (bots/robots) and ensure operational consistency

Adhere to established data governance policies, accuracy standards, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of data management processes, including security master setup and reference data operations

Basic knowledge of securities data across Equities, Fixed Income, and Derivatives

Familiarity with Corporate Action Event Pricing methodologies

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, macros, VBA, Power Query), Word, and PowerPoint
-
Exposure to SQL or similar query tools for validation and reporting

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for coordination with business and technical teams

Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and perform under tight deadlines in a high-volume data environment
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline

Experience in asset management or financial data operations

Knowledge of systems such as Aladdin, S&P (Markit) EDM, or T24
-
Familiarity with data vendors including Refinitiv Eikon, Datascope, Bloomberg, and ICE

Certifications or coursework in Finance or Data Management (e.g., IOC, IMC, Xceptor Practitioner)

Prior experience with data automation or data quality improvement projects
