Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance Analyst to support our Finance function in a fast-paced, multi-brand retail environment. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and provides financial insights to support strategic decision-making at Gap Inc.’s headquarters.

The role involves financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with exposure to key stakeholders across business units and executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports to Gap Inc. management in a timely manner.

  • Support the financial close process, internal/external reporting, and analysis for key stakeholders.

  • Provide financial support and analysis to internal groups such as Corporate Real Estate, Store Development, Real Estate Finance, FP&A, and Internal Audit.

  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior year expenses, while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all organizational levels.

  • Participate in special projects and assignments of diverse scope.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and the financial close process.

  • High level of accountability, ownership, and motivation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (with strong Excel skills required).

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Experience Required

  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Analysis, or a related role.

  • Experience in retail, corporate finance, or multi-brand environments preferred.
