Positional Overview:
The Financial Analyst—Global Finance Services (GFS) FP&A is responsible for supporting Financial Planning and analysis (FP&A) functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis. This role involves collaborating with global finance teams, senior management, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide data-driven insights that drive strategic decision-making and financial efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly financial close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support monthly P&L analysis, financial forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights to business stakeholders.
- Establish, measure, and monitor weekly KPI metrics for new and existing business initiatives to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Identify inaccurate or incomplete financial data, troubleshoot issues, escalate discrepancies, and implement solutions to improve automation and standardization of economic processes.
- Provide financial modeling, analysis, and reporting for monthly and quarterly business reviews, helping leadership make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications:
- CA fresher with 1+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, closing of books of accounts, and analytics.
- Experience in evaluating and analyzing large datasets quickly to create meaningful financial reports that influence business decisions.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, macros, financial modeling); experience with VBA, COGNOS, and SQL is a plus.
- Retail industry experience preferred, along with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
