Financial Accountant

Positional Overview:

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join the Middle East Finance Operations Team to assist the Finance Manager Statutory Compliance and regional tax team in ensuring ME&A tax compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review documentation, schedules, and reconciliations for Corporate Income Tax, transfer pricing returns, VAT, and WHT returns for ME&A entities, including countries such as KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, and Egypt.
• Assist the regional tax team with tax inspections and audits, providing necessary finance data, schedules, and responding to queries related to finance matters.
• Work closely with the regional tax team as the point of contact for all tax compliance matters in the ME&A region, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns and assessments.
• Manage and assist with statutory and regulatory finance compliance activities, such as ESR notifications, e-invoicing, and CbCR for the ME&A region.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide necessary samples and ensure compliance with Group’s Standard Operating Procedures and best practices during audits.

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools;
• High standard of (numerical) presentation skills;
• Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).
• Experience in interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions.
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Enterprise Planning Management (EPM), and Oracle.
• Knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot, and PowerBI tools is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Fully Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA or other recognized Accounting qualification;
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, preferably in the Middle East, with some experience working in a tax role for a construction/engineering consultancy organization;
• Sound knowledge of Middle East tax regulations and requirements;
