Financial Analyst – Controllership

Responsibilities:

• Manages full sets of accounts for Belgium entity including Balance sheet review.
• Ensures finance integrity of both internal (HP policy) and external (local legal statutory) planning and reporting.
• Ensures compliance of financial statements with US and local GAAP requirements and ensure appropriate business controls are in place for any systems and processes with financial impact
• Preparing, planning and filling of local statutory accounts in collaboration with internal and external teams such as audit.
• Ensures HP’s assets are safeguarded and accounted for. Maintain timely and transparent disclosure of all contingencies, records management and control deficiencies. In charge of local country compliance council.
• Managing tax compliance: projection of corporate tax and VAT with internal Tax teams and external consultants, ensuring proper forecasting and timelines met.
• In charge of local ad-hoc payments
• Works closely with country team. Build and maintain close, positive working relationships with customers, account teams, peers, support partners, sales organizations and other Global functions
• Represents the business unit/department during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes (local e-invoicing project, Factoring process, …)
• Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
• Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
• May provides mentoring and guidance to other analysts.
