Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Management:

• Maintain and reconcile daily financial transactions.
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly financial reports.
• Ensure timely payment of bills and track outstanding payments.
• Manage petty cash, including all cash handling and reconciliation.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor, order, and manage stock levels to optimize sales and prevent overstock or stock-outs.
• Coordinate with suppliers, handle invoices, and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field/Proficient in Accounting and Finance principles
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Experience in Journal Entries (Accounting)
• A minimum of 3 years experience in Gems and jewellery industry.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Stock Management and Inventory Control skills
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English; Hindi is a plus.
