Investment Governance-Associate

Responsibilities:

• Support the Investments Governance Committees to on-board and monitor Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs, and Alternative strategies. Ensure robust oversight and governance frameworks along with appropriate documentation are in place to maintain fiduciary responsibilities for clients.
• Providing oversight on a quantitative screening model output, challenging the effectiveness of the model, and deep dive analysis on the accuracy of the data as well as trends.
• Collaborate with Technology to provide solutions to satisfy the evolving needs of the Business by working with the target users to create strategic plans for enhancements and managing the implementation.
• Partner with Controls& Compliance officers as well as Risk to manage regulatory inspections and reviews.
• Manage and monitor existing and emerging operational risks to ensure they are escalated and remediated.
• Responsible for maintaining data consistencies across different oversight committees.
• Reviewing governance materials and documenting review committee takeaways with proactive follow ups on action items with timely reports to committees.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• 4-7 years of industry experience, preferably in Consulting.
• Working knowledge of Wealth Management business and a variety of investment products including mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, structured products, etc.
• Analytical experience, with a focus on statistical analysis, financial modelling or other investment related analysis
• Strong programming skills. Preferably at least a few of the following – Python, Matlab, Visual Basic, SQL and C#
• Proven ability to parse complex tasks and juggle priorities in a highly dynamic professional environment with a focus on attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• CFA or MBA preferred.
• Strong initiative, energy and confidence completing assignments with limited supervision. Superior time management and ability to prioritize a heavy workload.
• Business Intelligence experience leveraging MS Office Suite for improving productivity.
