Associate

Position Overview:

This opportunity for Associate is an ideal role for an individual who wants to directly contribute to EY’s global organization. The role will be part of the Global RM Independence team responsible for supporting our partners and client facing professionals to ensure that their personal investments and relationships comply with the firm’s Independence policies and the rules and regulations imposed by external regulatory bodies (e.g., PCAOB, IESBA, US SEC, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Interpret GDS policies, perform compliance checks/audits, and recommend actions based on firm guidance.
• Develop subject matter expertise on Independence issues.
• Analyze financial holdings and relationships to ensure compliance with Independence rules.
• Conduct Independence checks and research for potential new clients.
• Document diligence through deliverables and work papers subject to regulatory review.
• Interact with executives, client team members, and GDS personnel.
• Understand client business, process SLAs, and quality standards.
• Participate in client meetings and ensure exceptional client service.
• Collaborate as a team player to deliver high-quality outputs.

Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial market products and terms.
• Professional, competent, and clear in communication with Onshore teams.
• Comfortable in complex, unstructured environments; capable of logical reasoning.
• Skilled in research and information gathering from various sources.
• Ability to learn and apply EY’s Risk Management policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Works well in diverse, global teams to develop and share knowledge.
• Team player with strong listening and collaborative skills

Qualifications:

• Be capable of working using own initiative, with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Have strong analytical and interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail
• University graduate / post-graduate with 0-1 year of relevant experience.
• Good academic background.
• Advanced MS office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
