Junior Accountant

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction and marble industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within the construction or manufacturing sector, with a strong understanding of project-based accounting and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations in Dubai.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor and report on financial performance of construction and marble projects, ensuring proper allocation of costs, expenses, and revenues.
• Track and analyze project costs, identify discrepancies, and assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.Track and analyze project costs, identify discrepancies, and assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulations in Dubai, preparing necessary returns and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Provide regular financial analysis and advice to senior management to support decision-making and business strategy.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Experience with BIM or project management software related to construction.
• Experience in marble industry accounting and inventory management.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or marble industry.
• Strong understanding of construction and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of local UAE tax regulations (VAT) and accounting standards (IFRS).
