Senior Finance Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead our financial operations, optimize cash flow management, and ensure compliance with VAT and corporate tax laws in the Middle East. This role is critical in driving Pluto’s financial strategy, improving financial reporting, and ensuring the scalability of our finance function as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Pluto’s financial operations, ensuring strong cash flow management, financial planning, and expense control.
• Develop and implement financial models to analyze business performance, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive strategic decision-making.
• Manage and optimize accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely collections, payments, and financial discipline.
• Ensure full compliance with VAT, corporate tax laws, and regional financial regulations, managing accurate and timely tax filings.
• Work with bookkeepers and others from other non-UAE entities, including KSA, USA, and more.
• Lead, mentor, and scale the accounting and finance team, optimizing internal processes and maintaining high reporting standards.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, giving senior leadership actionable insights to support growth and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners to ensure compliance, financial transparency, and efficient operations.
• Implement cost-saving strategies and optimize spending policies, supporting Pluto’s vision of a more efficient finance stack for businesses.
• Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies, ensuring Pluto remains financially secure and compliant as we scale.
• Oversee payroll and financial operations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and corporate policies.

Skills:

• Ability to develop financial models, analyze business performance, and provide data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
• Strong understanding of VAT, corporate tax laws, and regional financial regulations, ensuring accurate and timely tax filings.
• Expertise in managing cash flow, optimizing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), and controlling expenses to ensure financial stability.
• Experience in mentoring, scaling, and optimizing the accounting and finance team while maintaining high reporting standards.
• Proficiency in monitoring financial risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with auditing, tax, and corporate policies.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience working for a multi-national group holdings business across several jurisdictions
• Bachelors or Masters in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA, CPA, or ACCA preferred).
• 5+ years of financial management experience, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or high-growth technology companies.
• Deep understanding of Middle East VAT, corporate tax laws, and financial regulations, with hands-on experience in compliance and tax filings.
• Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management expertise.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and scaling finance teams, with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and spend management tools (familiarity with Pluto is a plus!).
