Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 1041, 990, and tax-exempt entity tax return
  • Analyze and resolve all questions or problems that may arise associated with the returns and tax filings
  • Should Possess a working knowledge of all types of investment assets, including but not limited to, alternatives, derivatives, foreign securities, equities, fixed income, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, and master limited partnerships.
  • Review trusts and private foundations quarterly to make the most tax-beneficial estimated tax payments
  • Work with the FIS accounting system and OneSource tax software to manage tax processing and prepare tax returns and filings Demonstrate a high level of proficiency of tax technical knowledge.
  • Work with internal Trust Operations departments to identify, correct, or improve operational processes and procedures related to the processing of tax returns.
  • Respond to correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax authorities regarding issues or examinations arising from the preparation of tax returns or other tax filings.
  • Develop and maintain procedures surrounding tax activities and controls to ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Review wash sales, capital changes, and other corporate actions that have tax or basis consequence
  • Identifying and addressing client needs (US teams), building a strong professional network and cordial relationships
  • Work with internal Trust Operations departments to identify, correct, or improve operational processes and procedures related to the processing of tax returns.
  • Ability to discuss process issues, and concerns with onshore counterparts and get it resolved

 

What You Bring~

  • Knowledge / Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in the field of US Trust Taxation
  • Rewarding experience in Form 1041 (Trust Returns), Estate Returns, Foundation Returns, Gift Tax Returns
  • Sound technical knowledge with respect to US Trust Tax
  • Should be a team player and possess strong communication skills

Skills

  • Good understanding in MS office and accounting software
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and taxation process
  • Attention to detail with good analytical skills
  • Should be a team player

Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Competencies
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and training skills
  • Knowledge on US tax laws

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree required.
