Specialist – Accounts Payable

Position Overview

DP World is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Specialist – Accounts Payable to join our Global Service Centre in Navi Mumbai. The role is focused on ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of financial operations related to accounts payable and general ledger activities. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity, enhancing internal controls, and supporting decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable processes: invoice processing, vendor payments, foreign remittances, and vendor reconciliation

• Manage cash flow projections and ensure timely financial transactions

• Prepare and maintain MIS reports

• Assist in month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve AP/GL discrepancies

• Participate in initiatives to improve AP/GL process efficiency and internal controls

• Maintain documentation to meet audit requirements

• Stay updated on industry trends and accounting regulations

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting

• Prior experience in a shipping or logistics company preferred

• Familiarity with ERP tools such as NAV (Navision) is desirable

• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)

• Good interpersonal and organizational skills

• Experience working within a Global Service Centre framework is a plus
