Specialist – Accounts Payable

Position Overview

DP World’s Global Service Centre in Navi Mumbai is looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Specialist – Accounts Payable to join our dynamic Finance team. The role involves ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations while supporting audits and maintaining compliance with statutory regulations. This position plays a crucial part in enabling financial accuracy and operational efficiency within a global organization committed to growth, innovation, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices for goods and services in line with purchase orders and contracts.

• Allocate expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Execute domestic and international fund transfers and payments.

• Handle foreign currency payments for spares, capital equipment, and services.

• Ensure proper accounting and deduction of TDS and GST.

• Monitor and reconcile vendor advances monthly.

• Support statutory, internal, tax, and group reporting audits related to accounts payable.

• Reconcile creditor ledgers and perform monthly AP account reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly expense provisions and prepaid expense schedules.

• Comply with all quality, health, safety, environmental, and security standards.

• Undertake additional finance-related tasks as required by the role.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Understanding of GST, Income Tax, and fundamental accounting principles.

• Experience in processing and reconciling financial transactions.

• Strong attention to detail and time management.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and meet deadlines.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or a related field (preferred).

• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions.

• Familiarity with statutory payment regulations and audit processes.
