Position Overview
The Senior Analyst – Data Management (Derivatives) will be responsible for executing and managing complex operational activities within the Data Management function, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and service-level agreements (SLAs). This role requires deep knowledge of financial markets—particularly derivatives and custody operations—along with exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

The Senior Analyst will represent the team in cross-functional projects while emerging as a subject matter expert within their area of specialization.
Key Responsibilities

Execute daily Data Management operations including routing, coding, SSI setups, call-backs, DSM, and MI reporting with accuracy and timeliness.

Perform in-depth analysis of call-back exceptions and report to controls for appropriate approvals.

Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and service-level commitments (SLAs).

Support Swift network relationship establishment and ensure smooth settlement data flow.

Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.

Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, middle offices, and external partners to research and resolve exceptions.

Provide analytical support and assist team leaders with daily operations and control activities.

Demonstrate strong understanding of global financial markets, derivatives products, and the custody environment.

Ensure effective internal control mechanisms are in place for operational risk management.
Skills & Qualifications

Strong understanding of Data Management processes, especially within a custody or derivatives operations environment.

In-depth knowledge of derivative markets, Swift messaging, and Standing Settlement Instructions (SSI).

Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and cutoff timelines.

Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.

Ability to multitask and remain composed in high-pressure environments.

Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder management and client interactions.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and operational tools.

Adaptable to organizational and market changes with a positive, learning-oriented mindset.
Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration (BA / B.Com / BBM / MBA – Finance).

Experience: Minimum 2+ years of operational experience in Derivatives or Data Management, preferably as Analyst / Senior Analyst.
Additional Requirements

Flexibility to work in APAC, EMEA, or NA shifts as required.

Eligibility: Minimum 12 months of experience as Analyst II within the organization.
