Position Overview:
An accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with laws and regulations. They prepare financial statements, analyze data, and assist in budgeting and forecasting. Accountants may handle tasks such as tax preparation, auditing, and advising on financial strategies to optimize resources. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Tally & QuickBooks.
- Prepare and file GST returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file TDS.
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Perform reconciliation of bank statements and financial reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial statements.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities are required.
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Tally ERP.
- Strong knowledge of GST Filing and TDS filing.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting and financial management.
