Positional Overview:

As an Accountant, you should maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the general ledger by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial data for reporting.
  • Manage vendor payments, process customer invoices, and ensure timely collections while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss, income, and balance sheet reports, and conduct variance analysis to support decision-making.
  • Review and analyze inter-company transactions, reconcile balances, and ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
  • Ensure journal entries and financial reports adhere to internal controls and audit standards, while contributing to process enhancements and special projects.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), financial statements, and reporting standards.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies for accurate reporting.

  • Ensuring accuracy in journal entries, financial records, and compliance with audit requirements.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Understanding of internal controls, audit standards, and financial regulations to ensure compliance with company policies and external guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • 0 to 2+ years of work experience.
  • A strong educational background in accounting or finance is essential for understanding financial principles and reporting standards.
  • Prior experience with general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and accounting software (such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) is highly beneficial.
