Position Overview

The Accounting Services Associate I supports daily accounting and finance operations by following established procedures and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. This is an entry-level role ideal for individuals with limited professional experience but a strong foundation in accounting principles. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to complete assigned tasks under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform first-level review of accounting processes and documents using standard operating procedures.

  • Review and verify invoices, receipts, payments, and check requests for accuracy and completeness.

  • Identify and escalate documents or transactions requiring additional review.

  • Support the achievement of team productivity and quality performance targets.

  • Maintain well-organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Assist in resolving routine invoice and payment discrepancies.

  • Perform additional first-level accounting or administrative duties as assigned by the team lead.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.

  • Good communication and coordination abilities for effective teamwork.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or similar tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

  • Vocational training, certifications, or equivalent accounting experience accepted.

  • Experience: 0–2 years in accounting or finance operations.
