Position Overview

nVent is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, vendor compliance, and statutory adherence. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Indian accounting practices, including direct and indirect taxation, and will thrive in a global, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payments in compliance with company policies.

  • Coordinate with banks for payment disbursements and resolve banking-related queries.

  • Review and approve employee travel reimbursement claims in line with company guidelines.

  • Prepare and share MIS reports (AP Trade, Prepaid, GR Reports) for management review.

  • Maintain and update vendor master records, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution.

  • Support month-end closing activities, including provisioning and accruals.

  • Ensure compliance with Indian accounting practices, including Direct and Indirect Taxation (GST, TDS, and statutory requirements).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • 3–4 years of experience in Accounts Payable.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes.

  • Hands-on experience in Indian accounting practices, including taxation compliance.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, M3, or Syteline (preferred).
