Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting senior management in financial decision-making. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and assisting with audits and tax filings.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to deadlines.
  • Follow established accounting processes while identifying and addressing deviations where necessary.
  • Effectively communicate financial issues and queries to senior management, both verbally and in writing.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, perform bank reconciliations, and manage accounts payable/receivable.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Expertise in using formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools to process and interpret financial data efficiently.

  • Ability to supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team while ensuring compliance with accounting processes and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years in Finance and Accounting.
  • B.Com qualification needed.
