Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for owning and coordinating the month end process and all general accounting activities including account reconciliations, financial analysis and management reporting while performing accurate data entry. S/He shall recommend and improve processes and practices aiming at cost reduction and system optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate booking and reconciliation of prepaid and accrued expenses.
- Prepare monthly payroll and final employee settlements.
- Conduct financial analysis and critical reviews to support management decisions.
- Identify opportunities for improving accounting operations and internal controls.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Ability to verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions accurately.
- Proficiency in conducting financial analysis, identifying trends, and supporting management decisions.
- Experience in supporting internal and external audits, preparing schedules, and ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software, ERP systems, and financial tools.
- Expertise in preparing payroll, employee settlements, and managing payables/receivables.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or any other related field.
- At least 3 years in a similar role.
