Position Overview

We are seeking a Finance Associate – AP for a 1-year contractual position to strengthen our Financial Operations team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in finance. You will be directly involved in supplier invoice processing, payment reconciliations, and month-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and accuracy in every transaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Associate – Accounts Payable, you will:

• Invoice Management – Review and validate supplier invoices to ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with company guidelines before processing.

• Transaction Recording – Accurately enter supplier invoices into the NetSuite ERP system, maintaining up-to-date and error-free financial records.

• Payment Reconciliation – Match and reconcile supplier payments against invoices to ensure timely and correct clearing of accounts.

• Discrepancy Resolution – Investigate and resolve any invoice or payment-related discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, the Finance team, and other relevant departments.

• Month-End Support – Assist in preparing monthly accounts payable reconciliations and related reporting activities to support the closing process.

• Policy Compliance – Adhere strictly to internal accounting policies, financial controls, and compliance requirements at all stages of accounts payable operations.

Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.

• Experience: Fresher or up to 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable (preferred).

• ERP Skills: Prior experience with NetSuite or any other ERP system will be considered a strong advantage.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to process financial data with high accuracy and identify potential errors quickly.

• Time Management: Capacity to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
