Finance Controller

Position Overview:

Finance Controller shouldOverseeing financial operations within the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various departments including purchase, stores and inventory, finance and accounts, and QA/audit.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies aligned with organizational goals.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports, including budget variance analysis, to senior management.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, liaising with auditors to ensure timely completion of audit processes.
• Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Conduct detailed analysis of project costs, including cost-benefit analysis and variance reporting.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability of financial data.

Skills:

• Expertise in developing and implementing financial strategies, plans, and policies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Strong skills in financial forecasting, modeling, and long-term planning.
• Proficiency in conducting financial analysis, budget variance analysis, and resource allocation.
• Experience in leading annual budgeting processes and setting realistic financial targets.
• Experience in optimizing purchasing processes, negotiating supplier contracts, and controlling costs.
• Strong leadership skills to oversee accounting teams and ensure compliance with principles.

Qualifications:

• ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountants) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is required, demonstrating expertise in cost accounting, financial management, and strategic decision-making.
• 8-10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related fields, with a proven track record of managing financial operations, budgets, and compliance in a dynamic environment.
• Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and regulatory compliance, coupled with hands-on experience in using accounting software and tools for efficient financial management.
