Finance Controller

Position Overview:

A Finance Controller oversees an organization’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. They manage budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, while supervising accounting teams and financial systems. The role involves analyzing financial data to guide decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial performance to align with business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial plans aligned with organizational goals, and support decision-making through analysis and forecasting.
• Lead budgeting, monitor performance, and provide accurate financial reports and projections.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, oversee financial statements, and coordinate audits.
• Manage accounts, payroll, cash flow, and inventory to maintain financial stability.
• Optimize procurement, control costs, and analyze project financial performance.
• Ensure accurate financial data through quality assurance, reconciliations, and compliance checks.

Skills:

• Clearly convey financial insights, reports, and strategies to stakeholders, fostering collaboration and informed decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with standards, and prepare statements that reflect organizational performance.
• Analyze costs to identify efficiencies, control expenses, and improve profitability.
• Develop and implement plans to optimize resources, achieve organizational goals, and ensure long-term financial stability.
• Predict future financial trends and outcomes using data analysis to support planning and investment decisions.
• Lead budget preparation, monitor spending, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Qualifications:

• Preferred qualification of ICWA/CMA to demonstrate expertise in cost and management accounting.
• 8–10 years of experience in financial management, accounting, and related fields, showcasing a strong track record in similar roles.
• Proven ability to apply accounting principles, cost analysis, and financial strategies effectively in a professional setting.
