Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing the financial needs and reports for our project management. Responsible for providing program financial support to the Sr. Finance Manager. Establish cost structure, charge codes and maintaining Receivable & Financial statement month end close for several programs.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on all major issues and monitor client comments for all financial projects.
- Assist various departments to develop regular project status reports.
- Monitor all subcontractor and vendors contracts and work as contact point for external and internal resource providers.
- Evaluate all contracts to identify important financial terms and prepare report for management and manage accounts receivables.
- Develop process improvements for month end activities and program plans, forecasts and budgets. And assist in continuous improvement projects which may involve implementing a new policy, process or system.
- Interface with Vectrus Systems Corporation Headquarters and functional managers regarding financial-related activities; develop and implement financial controls; conduct financial reviews of program areas; prepare and analyze various financial reports; develop and monitor performance metrics for financial management, and; other duties as required
- Skilled in month end cost analysis and knowledge of payroll processes, corporate allocations, indirect burdens, audit and cost control requirements, organizational setup, intercompany reconciliations and balances, reporting tools, account structures, job number structures, contracts, revenue calculations, billing calculations, and branch office consolidation.
Skills:
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems such as Deltek, Costpoint, and QuickBooks is essential for managing processes and financial data.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools to perform financial analyses, identify trends, and prepare reports.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing and analyzing data, ensuring compliance with contract terms and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, team members, and other departments. Ability to explain complex issues clearly and concisely.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Four or more years of experience in all areas of accounting finance including Financial Analysis or Project Controls.
