Position Overview

Ascensus, the leading independent technology and service platform powering savings plans across America, is seeking a Financial Operations Analyst – Fee Based Platform to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing invoicing, fee allocations, and advisor payments for plans utilizing Fee Based products. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and partners to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for candidates with strong analytical and accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end billing and invoicing for plans on the Fee Based platform.

  • Charge plan assets, process advisor fees, and address billing-related comments or discrepancies.

  • Respond to client and advisor inquiries regarding billing, fee schedules, and plan information.

  • Maintain and update the Lawson billing system accurately.

  • Coordinate with Frontier Trust on fee allocations for Fee Based plans.

  • Prepare credit memos and check requests to correct or refund invoices as necessary.

  • Review, investigate, and resolve unapplied payments and credits monthly.

  • Support the Director of Financial Operations in developing scalable procedures for Fee Based models.

  • Ensure all activities adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller or Director of Financial Operations.

Skills & Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, billing operations, or financial processing.

  • Experience with Wystar and Lawson systems preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; MS Access skills are an advantage.

  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data quickly and accurately.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-driven with the ability to learn and adapt independently.

  • Flexible to work in day or night shifts as per business requirements.
