Position Overview

Stem, Inc., a global leader in clean energy technology, is seeking a skilled General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. This role will focus on supporting month-end close, reconciliations, audits, and compliance processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze information for month-end close.

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries for monthly closing.

  • Conduct account analysis to verify accuracy of balances and journal entries.

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for assigned GL accounts.

  • Collect and compile data for quarterly and year-end audits.

  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain supporting documentation.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial processes, accounting policies, systems, and controls.

  • Perform additional tasks or special projects as assigned by the manager.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: B.Com, M.Com, or MBA (Accounting/Finance preferred).

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in General Ledger (G/L) accounting.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.

  • Experience with NetSuite preferred.
