Junior Accountant

Position Overview:

Safe Ocean Cargo is searching for a Junior Accountant who should be responsible for assisting in financial record-keeping, transaction processing, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies. They work under the supervision of senior accountants or finance managers and contribute to maintaining accurate financial data.

Responsibilities:

• Updating and maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Handling daily financial transactions, such as invoicing and payments.
• Reconciling bank statements to ensure consistency with internal records.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Providing necessary documentation and support during audits.

Skills:

• Assisting in preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, and providing documentation for tax-related audits.
• Ensuring accuracy in financial data entry and maintaining data integrity.
• Managing multiple financial tasks efficiently and maintaining organized records.
• Effectively interacting with team members and external parties to resolve financial issues and discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is commonly required.
• Candidate should have minimum 1-2 years experience in accounting fields.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage) and strong IT skills, including intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Candidate should be available in UAE.
