Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Mannarkkad. The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing basic financial reports, reconciling bank statements, verifying invoices and receipts related to tour bookings and vendor payments, and ensuring accurate documentation for audits. The role also involves coordinating with the operations and sales teams to align financial records with bookings, monitoring petty cash and expenses, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The Junior Accountant will help uphold compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards while contributing to efficient financial workflows.
Qualifications

• Foundational accounting knowledge, including double-entry bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and basic financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), MS Excel, and other office productivity tools.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to reconcile accounts and financial records.
• Good understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes, invoicing, and expense tracking.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, sales, and operations teams.
• Ability to organize work, manage time, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of basic tax concepts and compliance practices relevant to small and medium businesses is an advantage.
• Prior internship or 0–2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in services or travel industries.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• Commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and continuous learning in the accounting domain.
